Friendship, according to Wikipedia is:a) The tendency to desire what is best for the other b) sympathy and empathy c) honesty, perhaps in situations where it may be difficult for others to speak the truth, especially in terms of pointing out the perceived faults of one's counterpart d) mutual understanding and according to dictionary.com, a friend is: 1) a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. 2) a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter. 3) a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile So, if you are to get a conclusion from all the above statement, you can say that: a) You can always be yourself in front of a real friend. b) You do dumb stuff and they will laugh at you. c) They point out your faults because noone else is capable of doing so. d) They don't let you BE YOURSELF in the utmost negative way. e) They don't shit care if you hate them after they tell you that you look like crap today. f) REAL friends get hurt when you do stupid things to yourself. g) REAL friends will slap you (if needed) to make you realize that you're wrong. Why do I keep mentioning the phrase "real friends"? Because there're fake friends out there to get your life. So have some real friends to watch after your back. (or hire a knight in shiny armor) REAL FRIENDS know that you're not perfect and neither are them but they gladly tell you that you're perfect (or most of the time perfectly retarded)in everyway. [It's like a corny love story but wayyyyyyyyyyy cornier.] Some people believe in true love while others believe in TRUE friends. I think I belong to the latter, what about you? =) -Proud to say that I have people who watched after my back and people whom I would gladly defend them anyday of the week. =) |
